ESL and degree preparation made easy!
The ESL (English as a Second Language) Transition Program is designed for international students who want to attend university or college, but do not have the English skills or TOEFL scores to do so as a full-time enrolled student. The student will take this course before starting his/her chosen major, minor or concentration. The course provides language training, practical preparation and the opportunity to earn credits while studying on campus - allowing the student to gradually move into regular college courses while improving your language skills.
The ESL Transition Programs are taught at our International Study Centers (ISCs) in America. The centers offer a fast, academically focused route to regular university classes at go-study.com partner universities. Each university is fully accredited and competitively ranked. Building Vital Study Skills
Transition programs do more than just improve your English. You will also develop the practical skills you will need to thrive at university, including a comprehension of academic texts, research methods, examination formats, time management, and essay preparation and writing.
Integrate into Campus Life
When you join an ESL transition program you enjoy the same privileges as those in the regular degree program. You will have access to all facilities and you can participate in campus events and extra-curricular activities. You also will be expected to communicate entirely in English. Such total immersion in the campus culture and environment will be invaluable for your future studies.
Invaluable Academic Credits
University-based ESL classes usually contain fewer than 12 students so your professor will be able to monitor your progress carefully and will know when you are ready for academic courses. As you develop, you will gradually accumulate academic credits while you are improving your English proficiency.
ESL Transition Program
You can choose the a transition program which allows you to move gradually in to regular college courses while continuing to improve your language skills. To qualify for all campus-based ESL transition programs and obtain a conditional acceptance, you must meet the academic requirements of the university.
Assured Progression
Enrolling into a university ESL transition program gives you the security of knowing that you have satisfied the academic requirements for admission and received a conditional offer. In addition, your visa documents are issued by the university and are valid for the entire duration of your studies.
Embassy CES – Your Language School Option
We also offer a Diploma of English and an Intensive English course including English for Academic Purposes, both of which integrate with the Universities in America program. They are delivered by Embassy CES, the Language Training Division of Study Group. You can begin your studies at any level of English proficiency and study for as long as necessary. Classes begin weekly at Embassy CES centers in Boston, Fort Lauderdale, Los Angeles, New York, San Diego, San Francisco and Seattle.
