Founded in 1851, Lasell College is one of the oldest institutions of higher learning in the Boston area.

An innovator in education for over 150 years, Lasell College today is a comprehensive coeducational college offering professionally oriented bachelor's and master's degree programs. The 50-acre campus is located in suburban Newton, Massachusetts—within eight miles of downtown Boston at the heart of the Route 128 high-tech corridor.

Lasell offers more than 25 academic majors. Connected Learning at Lasell College involves students directly and actively in the fields they are learning. The Lasell College campus includes an Art and cultural center, athletic center, auditorium, career service center, ceramics studio, child study center, day care center, fashion design lab, health service center, Lasell Inn, learning center, photography lab, physical therapy lab, simulated travel lab. Lasell’s library features 51,000 volumes while more than 100 computers are available for student use.

Students can get involved in 20 different social organizations, as well as intercollegiate and intramural sports.

Currently, more than 80% of Lasell's undergraduate population lives in campus-owned and operated facilities. The residential community at Lasell College consists of 23 buildings: five traditional residence halls, three suite style residence halls, and fifteen residence houses. Students have the opportunity to live in the following types of communities: coeducational, all-female, quiet/study, or alcohol-free. All residential buildings are smoke-free environments.

The Lasell College campus encompasses 50 acres within the neighborhoods of Newton, Massachusetts, eight miles west of downtown Boston. Lasell's location puts students within easy reach of the cultural, health care, and business opportunities of the Greater Boston area. Several public transportation options are just a short walk from campus.
