Founded in 1884, Trine University is a private, four-year institution that provides career-oriented higher education in the areas of engineering, business, arts and sciences, and teacher education. Trine is located in Angola, Indiana – a safe and inviting community of 8,000 that lies in the heart of Steuben County – known as the “County of 101 Lakes”. The region is also known as the “Tri-state” area as we are near the state borders of Indiana, Ohio and Michigan. Steuben County is one of the tri-state area’s most popular recreation and vacation destinations. Trine is no more than a three-hour drive from Chicago, Detroit, and Indianapolis.
Trine students benefit from small classes, supportive faculty members who serve as mentors and friends, and a campus community focused on success. Graduates of Trine excel in fields including engineering, education, business, criminal justice, and even golf management. 90% of students go on to find meaningful work in their chosen field within six months of graduation, most of them with starting salaries well above the national average.
At Trine University, you will find a curriculum that is focused on your future. Don’t worry about endless lectures on the theory of ancient civilizations. Trine professors engage you in career-related activities and research. At Trine, it’s not about “I think; therefore I am” as much as “I think; therefore I do.” Perhaps that’s why our alumni hold hundreds of patents and our faculty have real-world experience.
By combining a quality education with a practical education, Trine prepares you for your future. Our faculty combine hands-on classroom learning with off-campus experiences (internships, co-ops, study abroad, field experiences) to develop leadership, communication, and professional skills that will enhance your future.
